Business Licence
Downloads
Newspapers, like all other published material, are protected by copyright so it is important to ensure your organisation has the appropriate cover in place when sharing and distributing this news.
The NLA business licence allows copying from the national and regional newspapers, certain specialist and foreign titles and newspaper websites.
Subject to certain terms and conditions, this includes paper copying (photocopying, faxing and printing), digital copying (scanning, emailing and hosting on an intranet site) and the receipt and distribution of content received from a PR or licensed media monitoring agency.
Copying can be undertaken on an occasional or frequent basis in both paper and digital formats, where elected.
The licence Fee
This consists of a compulsory basic licence fee covering occasional copying from the national and regional newspapers and, if required, additional fees for frequent paper and digital copying.
For new licensees there may be a charge for your previous unlicensed copying.
Full details of the licensing scheme and fees can be found in the NLA price list.
