Subject to certain terms and conditions, this includes paper copying (photocopying, faxing and printing), digital copying (scanning, emailing and hosting on an intranet site) and the receipt and distribution of content from a PR or licensed media monitoring agency.
Copying can be undertaken on an occassional or frequent basis in both paper and digital formats, where elected.
The Licence Fee
This consists of a compulsory basic licence fee covering occasional copying from the national and regional newspapers and, if required, additional fees for frequent paper and/or digital copying.
For new licensees there may be a charge for your previous unlicensed copying. Full details of the licensing scheme and fees can be found in the NLA price list.
Please note that registered charities receive a discount on their annual licence fee. This is equivalent to the minimum basic fee. The discount will be applied at the time of your licence application or renewal.
